Buying a home with a pool in the Upstate
What better way to cool off in the summer than to have your own backyard pool? If you are considering buying a home with an inground pool, there are many Upstate homes for sale offering home buyers a built-in source of recreation.
The in-ground pool is the natural place for kids and families to gather together for fun and socializing especially on a scorching hot day. There is nothing more refreshing than coming home and jumping into your own pool. It is also a convenient place for everyone to get some exercise and get a relaxing retreat.
A personal swimming pool is a great selling point for home sellers. In a state like South Carolina where summer is usually warm and humid, a pool absolutely increases the home’s value. Pools can add about 7% to a home’s value. In the Upstate, homes for sale with a swimming pool typically falls in the range of $200Ks and above. The one listed above is listed for $235,000 ( Check out the complete home details here).
When you buy a home with a swimming pool, make sure your real estate agent is inserting a clause in your offer where the seller guarantees that all the chattels, fixtures and pool equipment is in good working condition. If you fail to do so then you will now be responsible for anything that is not working properly. It is also better to have it inspected to make sure it is up to all safety codes and in top shape. Buying a house with a pool can be awesome yet you also have to make sure you do your due diligence.
