The restaurant scene in Greenville has exploded off the past decade with new restaurants springing up here and there. Downtown Greenville alone has brought an array of tasty cuisines to pick from which makes it a great place for anyone who wants to try different culinary experiences. This week, we’ll highlight one of the best places to dine and experience Greenville’s gastronomic delights.
Birds Fly South Ale Project
It was welcome news when Birds Fly South Ale Project opened in an old cotton warehouse in Hampton Station, an indication of Greenville’s growing brewing scene and it is making a hit in the world of rustic beer styles.
Birds Fly South is known for its Belgian-style sour, funky and farmhouse beers. They use local ingredients and an open fermentation system. The brewery features a very nice taproom which you can tour.
The urban farmhouse brewery and biergarten is a seriously fun hangout. It has everything you can ever dream of: delicious farmhouse brewed beer, friendly bartenders, and patrons, and an upbeat atmosphere to enjoy them all in. While they lack food options, they always have a food truck so you will never go hungry while enjoying your brew. White Duck Taco Shop is also right next door so you can enjoy some Mexican food with your beer.
