Whether you are an art aficionado or you simply love looking at paintings, a visit to Greenville County Museum of Art makes for an enjoyable afternoon of wandering. The museum exhibits 1726 pastel portraits and Civil War vistas to American Impressionism, Abstract Expressionism, American Scene, and contemporary works. If you have kids in tow, the Children’s Museum of the Upstate can offer an afternoon of hands-on exploration to wonderful themed areas from Formula 1 race cars to airplanes to a children’s grocery.

You’ve got to see the Greenville Drive play at this fun and family friendly ball park. The Preserve at Verdae was carved into a lush Carolina Forest with hills and mountain-like brooks, offering scenic views and a challenging play. Head out to Swam Rabbit Trail
Swamp Rabbit Trail is a 13.55 mile walking/biking trail that runs along the Reedy River connecting Travelers Rest with the City of Greenville. It’s not only a perfect walking/biking route for families or avid cyclist but it has also some features not usually found on biking trails in other places like the a number of shops you can find along the trail. They provide refreshments and food for the people walking or cycling on the trail every day.
