Local taxpayers have an opportunity to have their taxes prepared for free. If you have a household income of less than $60,000 a year, you can qualify for the free tax preparation. Just dial 2-1-1 to schedule an appointment for free tax assistance at any one of VITA’s sites located in Greenville County and across the Upstate.
In addition to scheduling, taxpayers can also get information about which documents you will be required to bring to the appointments, as well as the closest locations and hours of operation. Once your appointment is scheduled, you will be assisted at the site by one of their IRS-certified volunteer tax preparers.
