Foodie Destination of the Week |
The restaurant scene in greater Greenville has exploded off the past decade with new restaurants springing up here and there. Downtown Greenville alone has brought an array of tasty cuisines to pick from which makes it a great place for anyone who wants to try different culinary experiences. This week, we’ll highlight one of the best places to dine and experience Greenville’s gastronomic delights.
Rise Biscuits Donuts
Carb lovers and biscuit lovers are going to have a feast in Greenville’s newest biscuit shop. Rise Biscuit Donuts recently opened its door for business at Woodruff Road last March.
Greenville Rise’s donut menu includes classics like sprinkles, maple bacon, and raspberry jelly as well as shop specialties like creme brulee and apple fritter. The biscuit menu includes biscuit sandwiches topped with crispy buttermilk chicken; bacon, egg, and cheese; and country ham.
Since opening in 2012, the North Carolina-based Rise ranked among the Best Biscuits in the US by Food & Wine magazine. Serving unique biscuit and donut flavors, as well as freshly brewed coffee with free refills, we can only imagine the number of people lining up to get a taste of their unique offerings.
The quick-serve biscuit and donut shop also offers online ordering aside from the counter ordering and indoor seating in its 2,000 square foot store. Express ordering can be picked up for the same day and they also offer catering for off-site events, parties and business meetings of all sizes.
