 Foodie Destination of the Week

The restaurant scene in Greenville has exploded off the past decade with new restaurants springing up here and there. Downtown Greenville alone has brought an array of tasty cuisines to pick from which makes it a great place for anyone who wants to try different culinary experiences. This week, we’ll highlight one of the best places to dine and experience Greenville’s gastronomic delights.

Seedlings

Seedlings is the nation’s first farm-to-table restaurant for kids that just recently opened in Greenville. It is located on the ground floor of The Children’s Museum of the Upstate. This restaurant features healthy, delicious, and farm to table food items for children and families.

There are different stations where kids can pick out what they want and learn more about the food’s source and how it was made. Aside from offering healthy menu items, kids can also enjoy cooking classes, demonstrations featuring local farmers, explore the hydroponics garden, and other interactive events where children can learn to plant seeds, care for animals and learn to compost.

TCMU wanted to create something new and innovative that teaches children more about local farms and the vast diversity of healthy food options. TCMU partnered with restaurant owner Jonathan Willis, who opened Farm Fresh Fast in Greenville last year, Greenville’s only farm-to-table fast food restaurant.
