Produced and hosted by J. Michael Manley, owner of the J. Michael Manley Team, a business and life coach in Greenville, SC, this podcast shares stories of people who have overcome great challenges in life and have become stronger and a better version of themselves. The show explores kindness, gratitude, hope, courage, persistence, and altruism through relatable real-life examples of people from all walks of life.
The mission of this podcast is to inspire people to overcome their own life challenges and be inspired by other people who have been in the same boat. The first episode features Kelly Hagerman, a tough mom from Greenville who has been through medical procedures and still battling Moyamoya, a rare condition in which blood vessels at the base of the skull progressively narrow, limiting the flow of oxygenated blood to the brain.

Not everyone with Moyamoya has the same things. I actually had over 22 on the left side of my brain, a minor stroke, and 2 major strokes a year and a half before I was diagnosed. I didn’t know that’s what I had at 40 years old. We thought it’s Bell’s Palsy, we thought poor muscle and it took that long to have a doctor know what they’re looking for and know what it was, again it’s very rare and there’s not a lot of places to treat it.
