It’s Back to School Week!
Once again, it’s the “summer-ending-and-school-starting” week. On August 20th, Greenville County School District will open its doors to the incoming students and begin another year of learning.
Under existing State law, Monday, August 19th is the first allowable day of school for 2019-20 yet the officials of the GCS calendar committee recommended a Tuesday start considering the first week of school is exciting and tiring for the youngest students, many of whom will be in a structured environment for the first time. The last school day will be Thursday, June 4, 2020.
Winter break will begin on December 22nd until January 6th the following year. Spring break will be the week of April 13. You can download the full Greenville County School Calendar here.
