Foodie Destination of the Week
The restaurant scene in Greenville has exploded off the past decade with new restaurants springing up here and there. Downtown Greenville alone has brought an array of tasty cuisines to pick from which makes it a great place for anyone who wants to try different culinary experiences. This week, we’ll highlight one of the newest additions to Greenville’s gastronomic scene.
Saffron Indian Cuisine
Craving for South Asian food? You’ll never go wrong with Saffron Indian Cuisine. They offer consistently high quality Indian dishes, with a variety of meats and vegetarian plates on the menu. It is also a great place to dine if you are a vegan. Great vegetarian food isn’t hard to come by in Greenville, just look at the city’s best vegan and vegetarian restaurants for proof, this restaurant will pop up as one of the best. And it’s more than just an Indian restaurant, although Greenville has several of those too—we’re talking about delicious food on the buffet, veg and non-veg options, couple with excellent service and warm restaurant ambiance. The place is located in a popular shopping area in Woodruff Road and of course, popular with the locals. Expect some waiting time during peak eating hours. Did you know?
Today, August 21st at exactly 2:37 pm, Greenville will witness the most phenomenal sky event of the decade if not the century. Greenville is in the path of the eclipse, a 70-mile-wide path of totality that stretches all the way from Oregon to South Carolina. August 21st total solar eclipse will mark the first time in almost a century that such an event is viewable to millions of people from coast to coast.
Be sure to catch the total solar eclipse today because the next opportunity to witness it again here in the Upstate will be in 2078. The path of totality will be wider in the Upstate than anywhere else in the country so we are expecting an influx of people who want to experience the peak of such a rare event.
