Foodie Destination of the Week |
The restaurant scene in Greenville has exploded off the past decade with new restaurants springing up here and there. Downtown Greenville alone has brought an array of tasty cuisines to pick from which makes it a great place for anyone who wants to try different culinary experiences. This week, we’ll highlight one of the best places to dine and experience Greenville’s gastronomic delights.
Poke Bros. – Woodruff Road
The popular fast-casual restaurant concept from the Midwest just opened in Woodruff Road last month. With Poké Bros already a hit in Pelham Road and Easley, the new location looks to sate Greenvillians with its “build-your-own approach to crafting delicious poké bowls along our assembly line of fresh, wholesome ingredients.”
Poke actually originated in Hawaii and features cubed-cut raw fish mixed in a bowl with rice, veggies, and flavorful toppings. Poke Bros’. menu offers high-quality, sushi-grade fish and farm-fresh veggies in the aforementioned build-your-own bowl as well as pre-fab bowls like the Johnny Utah with avocado, salmon, edamame, cucumber, masago, and triple og sauce, or the popular Duke with tuna salmon, shrimp, seaweed, jalapeño, sweet onion, edamame, cucumber, ponzu sauce, and gochujang. The bowls range from $9-$13, very affordable for an amazing sushi in a bowl experience. There are also teas on the menu as well as poke nachos. The great majority of their menu is gluten-free and low calorie, giving many Greenville food lover a quick and easy dining option that is not only affordable but also healthy.
Address: 1143 Woodruff Road, Greenville, SC 29607
