Foodie Destination of the Week |
The restaurant scene in greater Greenville has exploded off the past decade with new restaurants springing up here and there. Downtown Greenville alone has brought an array of tasty cuisines to pick from which makes it a great place for anyone who wants to try different culinary experiences. This week, we’ll highlight one of the best places to dine and experience Greenville’s gastronomic delights.
Mountain Goat
Cyclists always need a fix and many are certifiably obsessed with coffee. What’s even better, there’s a new bike-inspired coffee shop and bar that is new to Greenville. Mountain Goat recently opened this year and many are happy about the new coffee shop addition in the Poe Mill neighborhood and Poinsett Highway/Rutherford Road.
What’s more, it is more than just a coffee/beer/bike shop. They’re helping at-risked kids in the Greenville area. They invest in the community by providing life-changing outdoor experiences for kids through their sister organization, GOAT.
Mountain Goat serves coffee beverages, baked goods, craft beer, and wine, and at the same time a full-service bike shop. They have partnered with Methodical Coffee where they get their coffee, Upcountry Provisions for pastries, King of Pops, Asheville-based Sunshine Sammies, and D’Allesandro’s for pizza. The shop’s atmosphere is beautiful, relaxing, and modern. Their staff is very friendly and makes you feel right at home.
Mountain Goat welcomes everyone from the community to visit their shop, from daily commuters, to road racers, to hardcore mountain bikers, or even non-cyclists and families. Those interested in volunteering as a tutor can find out more by visiting their website.

What:Home buying seminar for our heroes who serve our communities
When: Nov. 10, 2018, 9:30 am -10:30 am
Where: 403 Woods Lake Road, Greenville, SC
Here at the J Michael Manley Team we have deep gratitude for those who serve. The men and women who serve and have served our country and communities deserve more than just our thanks. In honor of Veterans Day, we will be holding a special event for our heroes to say “Thank You” in words and deeds.
With that said, we wanted to invite our heroes to a free educational seminar on Saturday, November 10th from 9:30-10:30 am at 403 Woods Lake Road, Greenville, SC. In this event, we want to share real savings for the people who work every day to make our communities safer and better.
With increasing home prices, interest rates high, and affordability seemingly on the downslope, our heroes are faced with growing challenges as home buying becomes less of an option for many. That is why we are here to help. We want to bring our heroes ‘home.’
Join us on November 10th. There will be door prizes and goodies awaiting our heroes. Register here: www.servingpays.org or email Donald Barbour at donald@jmmteam.com or call 864-704-0006.
