    Spooktacular Events and Places To Go in the Upstate

    It’s the autumn season again and we’re enjoying the beautiful sight of the changing leaves, cooler weather, and hot cocoa sipped around campfires. It also means that Halloween is just around the corner. Find spooky, spine-chilling thrills and family-friendly fun parties and pumpkin patches and other Halloween events in the Upstate, SC.

    Boo in the Zoo – October 18–20, and 25–27, 2019
    Prisma Health Boo in the Zoo at the Greenville Zoo is a fun, family-friendly event. There will be 20 trick-or-treat stations; character photo opportunities, including princesses; an extinct species graveyard, Dragon Ally and Alice’s Fun House!

    Big Boo and Nighttime Wagon Rides – October 11-12, 18-19, 25-26
    The Big Boo (the spooking of Side 2 of our maze) will run Fridays Oct. 11, 18, 25 and Saturdays Oct. 12, 19, 26 from 7 – 10 pm. The Big Boo is family-friendly, with no chasing, touching, blood or gore. Big Boo $10 anyone ages 6 and up, kids under 6 are free. Nighttime Wagon Rides – $6 per person, lap babies are free.

    Halloween at Heritage Park – October 26
    Local groups and organizations gather to provide a Happy Halloween at Heritage Park. The event is FREE. There will be vendors, trick or treating, and inflatables.

    Fall Festival on Main Street Fountain Inn – October 26
    The City of Fountain Inn will have a Fall Festival on October 26. There will be hot dogs to give out along with many other treats. Pay $10 to enter a pumpkin carving contest. There will costume contest as well as a Halloween movie playing at dusk on Depot St.

    Halloween Hoopla in Greer City Park – October 26
    This is a free family-friendly event in Greer happening on Oct 26. There will be Halloween costume, carnival games, inflatables, live performances, tons of candy, and much more.

    Trick-or-Treating at The Children’s Museum of the Upstate – October 31
    Trick-or-treat throughout the Children’s Museum, there will be lots of fun as there are and experience Halloween fire breathers from The Secret Cirkus, owls and animals from Wildlife Rehab, Reedy from Greenville Drive, performers, music, and more.
