The restaurant scene in greater Greenville has exploded off the past decade with new restaurants springing up here and there. Downtown Greenville alone has brought an array of tasty cuisines to pick from which makes it a great place for anyone who wants to try different culinary experiences. This week, we’ll highlight one of the best places to dine and experience Greenville’s gastronomic delights.

    Rocket Surgery

Rocket Surgery is a craft cocktail bar and restaurant located next to Farmhouse Tacos on Main Street in Travelers Rest.

They serve dinner nightly and brunch on weekends. If you are looking for delicious cocktails this is a place to go especially if you are in Travelers Rest. Their dinner menu includes mussels, calamari, salads, and they also have a selection of large plates including chicken, grilled beef, and burgers. Buns and condiments are made in-house.

For a cocktail, you can ask for ‘rocket surgery’ where you tell the bartender your spirit or flavor profile, and they’ll whip something completely unique up for you. They serve an array of cocktails to choose from.

In addition to great food, what makes this restaurant so awesome is the staff. All of the staffs are friendly and genuinely great people. Rocket Surgery is a cool spot to head for some delicious drinks.

     Did You Know?

Did you know there is a new experience entertainment facility in Greenville?

Greenville’s first axe-throwing range, Craft Axe Throwing, brings the thrill of a traditional backcountry activity. The facility is located in Hampton Station, a stone’s throw from Birds Fly South and White Duck Taco. It’s just opened last March and already creating a buzz.

The 3,000-square-foot experience entertainment facility offers 10 throwing lanes where patrons can hang out. Each set up with two targets and scoreboards. Due to the popularity, they are planning to build extra lanes in the near future.

Axe throwing is like a dart league but on steroids. And if anyone thinks this is quite a dangerous game, it is not. Of course, there are numerous guidelines in place to try to ensure nobody will chop their head off. Interested to learn how to play this game? Read more
