The Upstate Christmas Parade Season Is Here 🎄

Whether you pick one parade or try a “parade crawl,” there’s plenty of holiday cheer to go around.

Poinsettia Christmas Parade – Greenville

This parade has marked the start of the holiday season for more than 75 years.
-
For 2025, it takes place on Saturday, December 6 at 6:30 PM.
-
Expect dazzling floats, marching bands, and a final visit from Santa.
-
The route runs along Main Street downtown.

Quick Tips for Enjoying a Parade
-
Arrive early — especially for popular parades like Greenville’s. Good curb‑side spots go fast.
-
Dress for the weather — December nights can get chilly. Bring layers, maybe a blanket or small folding chair if you plan to stay a while.
-
Plan parking ahead — downtowns tend to fill up. Parking garages or lots near Main Street (or near the parade route) are usually your best bet.
-
Check rules & updates — some parades may have restrictions (no pets, no coolers, etc.) or road closures. Downtown events often post official guidance beforehand.
-
Make a night of it — combine a parade with holiday shopping, dinner, lights, or other nearby holiday events (like tree‑lighting ceremonies).
