Foodie Destination of the Week
The restaurant scene in Greenville has exploded off the past decade with new restaurants springing up here and there. Downtown Greenville alone has brought an array of tasty cuisines to pick from which makes it a great place for anyone who wants to try different culinary experiences. This week, we’ll highlight one of the newest additions to Greenville’s gastronomic scene.
White Duck Taco Shop
It isn’t hard to find amazing Mexican food in Greenville. If you’re into tidbits of meat and vegetable topping crunchy tortilla bases and you don’t mind making a mess, say hola to White Duck Taco Shop, the newest addition to Greenville’s growing taco scene. This restaurant makes an excellent stab at your favorite Mexican food.
Located 1.5 miles from downtown Greenville in Hampton Station next door to Bird’s Fly South Brewery. This Asheville-based taco shop opened its doors in Greenville a few months ago bringing a solid menu and a laid back, inviting atmosphere. The owners have renovated the former cotton mill space, while leaving some of the old artifacts intact. They have a seating for more than 100 inside and out so there’s room for a crowd. They have a great outdoor area for kids, pets, and yard games. The White Duck Taco Shop is also convenient to the Swamp Rabbit River Trail, you can easily grab an ice cold beer and delicious tacos after a long walk or jog.

Who’s Hiring?
- Rudolph Logistics Group, a German automotive supplier plans to invest $4.1M in new operations in Greer. The company plans to create at least 150 new jobs. Hiring is expected to begin in October. Interested applicants should visit rudolph-log-usa.com.
- Canada-based Safeplast NA will build its new headquarters and manufacturing facility in the Pickens County Commerce Park. The company plans to hire 30 employees to start operations when the new building is complete. Hiring will start in spring 2018. Interested applicants should email info@safeplast.com.
- Bonafide Kayaks will invest $2M in the new operations in Greenville County at 10 Quest Lane, Suite B. Operations are expected to create 76 new jobs over the next 3 years. Hiring is expected this year. Interested applicants should email buff@bonafidekayaks.com.
- Staffing agencies are also looking for qualified candidates to apply for dozens of jobs. At Godshall Professional Recruiting and Staffing, the agency has more than 100 openings across the region.
