The Upstates’s shopping scene ranges from local boutiques to designer stores and town main streets with quaint shops to big shopping areas, making it a breeze to spot great finds. Here are a few popular shopping areas:

Haywood offers most anything shoppers are looking for, with more than 120 stores, including anchors Belk, Dillard’s, JC Penney, Sears and Macy’s. The mall is the largest in the state, with 1,237,350 square feet of retail space. 

The Shops at Greenridge include Talbot’s, Ann Taylor, Chico’s and other womens’ boutiques, as well as fun restaurants such as P.F. Chang’s and Salsarita’s.

Anderson Mall is home to more than 50 national and local retail, dining and entertainment options, as well as numerous events and activities throughout the year.

WestGate Mall is a shopping mall in Spartanburg, South Carolina, off Interstate 26 and US Highway 29 on West Blackstock Road in the city’s primary shopping market. The mall has four major department stores – Belk, Dillard’s, JCPenney, and Sears – as well as Bed Bath & Beyond, Costco and Dick’s Sporting Goods. They also feature over 100 specialty shops, including: Bath & Body Works, Express, Justice, Kirklands, Victoria’s Secret, SHOE DEPT. ENCORE, and Kay Jewelers.

Magnolia Park has established itself as one of the key shopping destinations in town. Magnolia Park is home to Cabela’s, Costco, a 20-screen Regal Cinemas and the Upstate’s only Dave and Buster’s. Among its many other standouts are Pier 1 Imports, Nordstrom Rack, and Golf Galaxy, along with an extensive variety of restaurants such as Another Broken Egg Café and Bad Daddy’s Burger Bar.

Hillcrest Market Place is a shopping mall in Spartanburg located at 1985 E Main St, Spartanburg, SC 29307

The Dorman Centre is a Walmart anchored retail centre located in Spartanburg. Major area retailers include Target, Walmart Supercenter, Sam’s Club, Costco, Kohl’s, Belk, JCPenny, Sears, Dillards, Regal Cinemas, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Academy Sports, The Home Depot, Lowes Home Improvement, Ashley Furniture, Old Navy, Burlington Coat Factory, Hobby Lobby, and JoAnn Fabrics.

McAlister Square is the first enclosed shopping center in South Carolina, and the largest shopping center in the state at the time it was opened in 1968. It is now a hybrid property, containing a campus of Greenville Technical College. While little of the space in the main mall continues to be used as retail space, the outparcels consist of a Publix grocery store, a Camelot movie theater, a BB&T bank branch and other retailers.

McAlister Square

Pinewood Shopping Center is located within the rapidly growing  Spartanburg, SC market along busy Hwy 176. It is anchored by a discount/closeout store, Big Lots #843, and has a popular local restaurant, Wade’s.

Woodruff S.C. is located at 1451 Woodruff Road in Greenville. It is anchored by Walmart Supercenter and Staples. Other retailers include Dollar Tree, H&R Block, Once Upon A Child, and Direct Tools.

Cherrydale Point is located in Greenville, South Carolina and offers a plethora of familiar favorites. Anderson Jockey Lot is a 65 acres flea market located right of Hwy 29 between Anderson and Greenville SC. Any item you may be looking for can be found from one of the hundreds of dealers who offer their wares for sale in this flea market. There are also snack bars and restaurants located at the Jockey Lot.

Spartanburg Flea Market is located at 8010 Asheville Hwy in Spartanburg.

Barnyard Flea Market Greer is located at 2000 Highway 101 S. in Greer. It is a great place to find some bargains. You can find items like clothing, football cards, video games, DVD’s, and phone accessories. They also sell produce.

White Horse Flea Market is a family owned flea market located in Greenville. It features variety of shops and vendors and also offers great fun for the whole family with carousels, games, and delicious food every weekend. 

Pickens Bargain Exchange Flea Market opens every Wednesday in Pickens. It is located at 1449 Walhalla Hiway with over 60 acres and 2000 spots. Choose from a wide variety of vendors selling nearly anything you can imagine from Home-made Caramel Kettle Corn to Discount Power Tools.

Burr’s Trading Post aka Chesnee Flea Market is located at 107 Old Stage Road in Chesnee, SC. You can find a variety of different things from vegetables and fruits to clothings and more.

There are plenty of boutiques around the Upstate. You can find something special and perfectly unique in every city. With unique boutiques and stores galore, there are no shortage of adorable and affordable souvenirs, trendy and timeless clothing, funky and fancy gifts! In downtown Greenville alone, there are more than 100 shops and boutiques nestled among the walkable, tree-lined streets. 

Gaffney Outlet Marketplace is home to more than fifty stores, and the long list of retailers runs the gamut. Luxury brands as Coach, Kate Spade, Michael Kors, and Brooks Brothers are well represented, as are the more casual likes of Aeropostale, Banana Republic, Gap, and J. Crew.

Fountain Inn Farmers Market. The City of Fountain Inn’s Farmers Market is located at 110 Depot St. Fountain Inn, SC 29644. It is held every Saturday during the summer.
The market has a large variety of fresh produce and craft vendors. Along with the Farmers Market, they try to incorporate different activities and excitement each week.

Travelers Rest Farmers Market. The Travelers Rest Farmers Market is Greenville County’s largest open-air market. Held every Saturday from May to September. Enjoy fresh from the farm goodness, live music, cooking demos, crafts from local artists, events for kid’s, tips from growers and so much more in a relaxed, mountain atmosphere away from the hustle and bustle of the city. 

Easley Farmers Market. The Easley Farmers Market is held every Saturday morning from April to September at the downtown Easley. The market offers fresh SC grown produce, homemade breads, pies, cake, jams, jellies, salsas, homemade dog treats, and crafts.

Greenville State Farmers Market is located just off North Pleasantburg, the State Farmers Market is a short drive from Downtown Greenville. The market’s main building sells produce such as apples, peanuts and tomatoes year-round, while a separate shed, open on Saturdays from April to November, offers fresh veggies, baked goods, plants, and fresh-cut flowers.

Landrum Farmers Market. The Landrum Farmers Market is held every Saturday morning from May to October at 111 North Trade Street, Landrum, SC 29356. This is a producers market where you can find handmade pottery alongside collards, honey, fresh breads and flowers. They also feature live music.

Greer Farmers Market. The market is open every Saturdays during the market season. It is located at 301 E. Pointsett St. Greer, SC 29651. The Greer Farmers Market features locally grown produce, meats, breads, honey and eggs. Each week a group of local craft, artisan and musicians are selected to compliment the market.

TD Saturday Farmers Market. Every year, on Saturday mornings from the beginning of May until the end of October, two blocks of downtown Greenville’s Main Street are transformed into a bustling farmers’ market aptly named the TD Saturday Market. Each week thousands of people flock to the TD Saturday Market for locally-sourced products (all food must be grown or produced within 100 miles of Greenville and crafters are highly-encouraged to use locally-sourced supplies). Most come for the fresh produce or the handcrafted pastas and cheeses, some make it a summertime ritual-a place to meet friends over a decadent breakfast pastry or a place for the little ones to jig and jive to local musicians in the warm summer air and others come for the opportunity to take in a local chef’s cooking demonstration.
